The purpose of this 501c3 organization is to offer mentoring, physical training, educational enrichment programs, and nutritional information to girls ages 8-18. Our demographic focus is throughout the greater St. Louis metropolitan and surrounding areas. This focus allows for us to include low income and economically disadvantaged students, and meets the need where there is no other programming of this kind for young females. As a foundation we provide this type of comprehensive programming as an effective platform to aid in improving physical, mental, emotional and character developmental plans. Enrichment Programs are designed to provide opportunities and explore topics not usually offer in the school day. We combine all of these programs in an effort to encourage a balanced life through the participation of the throwing sport; shot put, discus, hammer, javelin, and the weight throw. We use the throwing sports as a conduit to instill leadership skills, pride, sportsmanship, spirit of cooperation and the discipline needed to confront adversity on a daily basis. Proper technique, efficient use of energy and a focus on attitude are the key aspects needed to become a successful thrower and better person. Professional athletes, organizational leaders, board members, and tutors all work together in various facets of the foundation to promote a healthy, successful lifestyle. They do this by modeling self-respect, responsibility, leadership and sportsmanship. The outcome of this type of modeling is much higher self-esteem, and self-confidence which carries over into all facets of the students’ lives. We provide the community with programs that embrace the needs of today's youth; the early onset of childhood diabetes and obesity, as well as the concept of self-worth. Our big goal is to assist in providing the opportunities for every student to be prepared if so desired to go on to college. Our foundation opens up many doors of opportunity for these girls to receive academic as well as athletic scholarships to colleges and universities all over the country.
